“Circle of Success” for ITMA Asia

Leading global manufacturer of textile machinery and equipment Oerlikon Textile is to showcase its latest outstanding product ideas at ITMA Asia 2008

Mönchengladbach, 7 May 2008 – At "ITMA Asia + CITME 2008", China's largest-ever textile machinery exhibition to be held from 27-31 July 2008 in Shanghai, Oerlikon Textile will occupy a display area of over 1,500 m2 in the "Circle of Success" (Oerlikon Textile in Hall W2 Booth C02-D02 and Oerlikon Textile Components in Hall W2 Booth B06). The slogan reflects the success of the previous "Circle of Innovations", which was a powerful visitor magnet at ITMA 2007 in Munich. Many of the new ideas exhibited there were quickly taken up by the market as they set new technological standards. Oerlikon Textile again intends to excite the industry with the innovation capabilities of its 5 brands at ITMA Asia.

Oerlikon Schlafhorst: Staple fibre spinning at the highest level
At ITMA Asia in Shanghai in July 2008, Oerlikon Schlafhorst will be confirming its position as an innovation and market leader in spinning machines for staple fibres when it presents original technological solutions for the ring spinning, winding and rotor spinning sectors. The company will be showcasing plenty of new ideas with regard to packages, yarn quality and yarn joining. The new Autoconer 5 winding machine with Preci FX, the new Autocoro S 360 rotor spinning machine with DigiPiecing and the optimised BD series will make a powerful impression, as will the innovative quality solutions for CompACT3 spinning using Zinser ring spinning machines and the new Zinser 360 generation of ring spinning machines.

Oerlikon Barmag: New solutions for efficient yarn production
Oerlikon Barmag’s exhibition presentation will focus on efficiency enhancement. On WINGS, the new POY machine, the godets and intermingling unit are integrated into the winder. This plug-in unit, exhibited for the first time at ITMA 2007 in Munich, guarantees POY producers consistently high yarn quality as well as greater productivity and efficiency. Another striking technological advance is the proven double winder i-QOON, which now also facilitates 24-fold spinning of fully drawn yarn (FDY). In the DTY sphere, a texturing machine is being presented that combines tried and tested features of two Oerlikon Barmag workhorses - the energy-saving godet technology of COCOON and the ergonomic handling of the FK6-1000. At ITMA Asia a machine configuration for polyester is also being shown that permits the product spectrum in the fine titre range to be extended right down to 15 denier, thanks to a flexible cooling tube in the superstructure. This Oerlikon business unit has a wealth of expertise in the synthetic fibre sector and covers the entire process chain from polycondensation through to DTY machines.

Oerlikon Neumag: Cutting edge competence in non-wovens, carpet yarns and staple fibres
Oerlikon Neumag will also be showcasing its complete product portfolio, including the key technologies involved in the manufacture of non-wovens, e.g. airlaid, carding and spunbond systems. This Oerlikon business unit is the only supplier in the world to combine these non-woven processes in a plant concept and – with its comprehensive know-how – is able to develop new methods for more efficient production and more varied nonwoven products. At ITMA Asia it will also be focusing on cutting edge technologies in the manufacture of BCF carpet yarns, e.g. the new single-thread Sytec One generation of machines, and new plant concepts for the manufacture of synthetic staple fibres that enable significant productivity increases with production output of up to 400 tonnes a day.

Oerlikon Saurer: Innovations for twisting and embroidery systems
The new WinPro concept for long staple spinning clearly reflects the Oerlikon Saurer philosophy. The machine system saves time, energy and process stages and focuses on customer requirements and production reliability. This Oerlikon business unit will be exhibiting solutions for tyre cord, technical plied yarns and fancy yarns at ITMA with its leading Allma product line. The Volkmann product line concentrates on the high-productivity manufacture of staple fibre yarns, glass filament yarns and carpet yarns. Oerlikon Saurer and Melco will also be reinforcing their position as leading suppliers of shuttle and multi-head embroidery machines.

Oerlikon Textile Components: With high-tech components to a quality product
Oerlikon Textile Components is showcasing its established product lines – Accotex, Daytex, Enka Tecnica, Heberlein, Temco, Fibrevision and Texparts – at the second B06 booth in Hall W2. This Oerlikon business unit is a leading supplier of all quality-relevant components that come into contact with threads during the yarn manufacturing process. Its product portfolio covers the three areas of staple fibre spinning, filament spinning and nonwovens.
